You didn’t ‘really’ have to be Irish on March 17th, and this weekend, you don’t have to be ‘officially’ Scottish either to take in the Scottish Festival and Highland Games!  Just come out for the fun!

Are you fantasizing with images of Braveheart?  I am!  Though I’m not sure if William Wallace’s clan will be represented in the 30 that will be attending this weekend, I’ll be looking for Mel/William, anyway.  Maybe I’ll finally find out the answer to that age old question regarding men and their kilts!

Aside from manly men, you’ll also be able to enjoy piping and drumming competitions, traditional and Celtic music, including a Saturday Night Celtic Jam.  You’ll be able to be assisted in doing a genealogy search – find your family roots!

Expect Highland Dancing and Scottish Country Dancing, the “Ultra Trail Five K Trail Race,” competition in the “Professional Scottish Heavy Athletics,”  sheep herding demonstrations (hmm…wonder if I should bring my Australian Shepherd?), a Kids Zone, and the  Single Malt Whisky Seminar!!!
