Is my sweet little Taylor Swift in love? While John Mayer recovers he’s working on even more new music plus all the other Guenntertainment tidbits you NEED to know!
Brad Pitt: Engagement ‘Made Sense,’ But No Wedding Date Is Set
Angelina Jolie wasn’t by his side to promote his new film at this year’s Cannes Film Festival, but that didn’t stop Brad Pitt from sharing details about his bride-to-be.
Their long-awaited engagement was “something that made sense,” he told reporters Tuesday on the French Riviera as he helped promote his new gangster film,Killing Them Softly.
In response to rumors that the couple, who have been together since 2005, are tying the knot in August, Pitt, 48, added, “We have no date at all right now – there is no date. We’re still hoping for marriage equality in the States before we [get married.].
Is Taylor Swift Dating Foster the People’s Mark Foster?
Sounds like [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Taylor Swift[/lastfm] may be writing some more guitar-driven love songs soon. The Billboard Woman of the Year is rumored to be dating Foster the People frontman Mark Foster.
The couple were spotted dining over lunch in Beverly Hills last week. Swift tried to go incognito in a floppy hat, but paparazzi still spotted the starlet. She and Foster left separately to quell any possible rumors, but it didn’t work!
Swift has most recently been linked to newly minted New York Jets quarterback Tim Tebow. Swift was reportedly smitten with the church enthusiast, but as happens so often to the hopeless romantic, Tebow unfortunately didn’t reciprocate her feelings. She was also rumored to be crushing on heartthrob Harry Styles of One Direction, who admitted to texting her — but it looks like nothing came out of that, either.
The lunch date isn’t the only way Swift’s shown her affection for Foster. Back in February when Swift appeared on ‘Ellen’ with Zac Efron, she taught him how to play Foster the People’s biggest hit to date, ‘Pumped Up Kicks.’ That is soooo cute, way to go Taylor! Literally, I talked about my husband on the radio and that’s how our relationship started!
Kelly Clarkson: ‘My Boyfriend is Ruining My Creativity!’
[lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Kelly Clarkson[/lastfm] is known for empowering breakup songs like “Since U Been Gone,” but now that she’s happily in a relationship, the pop star is struggling to find her edge.
“It is killing me,” Clarkson told PEOPLE while doing press for ABC’s upcoming singing competition show Duets. “I’m trying to write a tough song and it is coming out like butterflies and rainbows.”
Clarkson, 30, says she has been dating Nashville-based talent manager Brandon Blackstock, 35, since late 2011.
“It is ruining my creativity,” she joked of the relationship that she publicly announced in early March. “I’m writing all this happy [stuff].”
Blackstock is the son of Narvel Blackstock, Clarkson’s manager of five years, and the stepson of Clarkson’s “Because of You” duet partner [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Reba McEntire[/lastfm].
“People used to ask, ‘Why are you single?’ and I’d say, ‘It is not in my schedule,’ ” Clarkson told reporters. “I’m in a relationship right now and I have time for it. I never used to.”
Clarkson’s next single off her fifth album, Stronger, will be “Darkside” but her happy love life is making it difficult to tap in to her own darkness.
“People are going to be, like, ‘What the hell happened to you,’ ” she said of her recent writing sessions. “It has been really difficult. I love it. It’s an awesome problem to have.”
John Mayer Already Planning ‘Born and Raised’ Follow-Up
[lastfm link_type="artist_info"]John Mayer[/lastfm] releases his new album Born and Raised on Tuesday, but if you don’t like it, just wait — another one will be along soon. Because John’s vocal troubles have forced him to cancel any touring he would have done to promote this new album, he’s already started planning a follow-up. That way, by the time his voice is ready to tour, he’ll have twice as many new songs to share with fans. I’m so flipping excited about this I can’t wait! I love his music and his concerts are always really fun!
“I’m hoping to take advantage of putting a record out and going back in the studio,” John explains. “It’s not the worst thing in the world to remain productive in the studio. As much as I would love to be on stage playing these songs, I think I’ll make up for it…or I’m trying to make up for it, by hitting the stage with two more records instead of one.”
John says he hopes that because he isn’t touring — “being poked and prodded,” as he puts it — he’ll find it easy to crank out a batch of new tunes. “You know, sometimes you go on the road, [and] you get worn down,” he explains. “And in that process, it takes a little while to get back to the writing…soul.”
In the meantime, what about Born and Raised? What can fans expect? John says he doesn’t feel like he has much to say about it, other than “musically, it’s important. I think lyrically, it’s important,” he explains. “I think it’s a record that matters, and after that, it’s up to other people to tell me what they think.”
John notes, “I don’t really have a rap on the record…I hope I don’t have to come up with too many catch phrases for it, because it’s better than any catch phrases.”
The singer also claims that he’s not worrying whether Born and Raised will be a hit. “I think I’m at an age now where it’s not supposed to be my main concern,” he says.
Now you are in the know!
