In case you haven’t heard, [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Phillip Phillips[/lastfm] won “American Idol’ last night, and now that Idol is over he will have the surgery his Doctors have been urging him to have for months.

Phillips has severe kidney stone problems, which have only gotten worse while he was on Idol, his Doctors urged him to under go surgery while on the show but Phillips refused wanting to finish the show first.

According to TMZ, Phillips is planning on having the surgery in LA sometime within the next two weeks. We probably wont be seeing much of him anytime soon, the surgery is quite serious with up to a 6 week recovery, According to TMZ.

After watching the finale last night I wish I would’ve watch more this season. Normally my wife and I watch every week but for whatever reason this year we just didn’t.

Both, [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Jessica Sanchez[/lastfm] and Phillip Phillips, are incredibly talented but based off of the little bit I watch this season and online I have to agree with Phillips winning the whole thing. Then again, I am a huge [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Dave Matthews[/lastfm] fan, use Phillips has been compared to. I also think he has a [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Mumford and Sons[/lastfm]/ [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]NeedToBreathe[/lastfm] type sound, so I can’t wait to see what he comes out with.
