Looking forward to what the Democratic National Convention will bring to Charlotte in just a couple of weeks? We sure are! This is just a preliminary list of fun and educational activities that will get you excited for the DNC this year!
The American Presidential Experience
This is a nonpartisan educational exhibit celebrating American history, democracy and the US Presidency featuring more than 35 exhibits, historic memorabilia and artifacts along with a vendor marketplace. It will from August 31 through September 7. It’s a great place to take the family for a learning experience. Tickets are $14.95, and you can get more information here!
College Game Day Tailgate Party
The Tailgate party will be held on September 1, 2012 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 AM. Organized by the Alabama Democratic Party, this will be a ticketed event open to the public. The games featured at the party will be Alabama vs. Michigan and Auburn vs. Clemson . There will be a bar and food stations there. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased here.
Carolina Fest 2012
Carolina Fest will take place on Monday September 3 (Labor Day) in the heart of uptown Charlotte. This will be a celebration of the products and services done by hardworking Americans. It is a free, family friendly event that will have live music, speakers and other engaging activities. Find out more here.
Politics & Pints hosted by The Washington Post
The event is open to the public and will take place at Rí Rá Irish Pub on September 4, 2012 – 7:00 p.m – 9:00 p.m. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. and trivia will begin at 7:00 p.m. Bring a team of up to six players to talk politics with an ice cold beer in hand.
