No date this New Year’s Eve? No problem – volunteer – keep yourself busy and be a part of the revelry!
Be a part of ringing in the new year here in Charlotte by volunteering for ‘Charlotte’s First Night’ celebration!! Per CharlotteCentercity.org, you’ll be able to “to see dancers, circus performers, aerialists, science booths, musicians, storytellers and more.”
Volunteers are needed for various positions, like: Wristband Sales, Artist Assistants, Kid’s Activities Assistants and Performance Location Managers.
They literally need hundreds of volunteers, 18 years of age or older,to transform uptown Charlotte into a ‘creative playground.’
Per the website, here’s the agenda:
When: December 31, 2012
First Night Kids runs from 12-5pm with a kids’ countdown to 5pm
First Night picks back up from 7-11:30pm Midnight Finale show featuring Simply Irresistible from 10-12:30am
Where: Uptown Charlotte (venues include NASCAR Hall of Fame, WBT Ice Rink, Convention Center Patio, Main Stage located at Levine Avenue of the Arts, Mint Plaza, Wells Fargo Atrium and The Green).
SHIFT TIMES
Shift times vary anywhere from 2 ½ to 3 ½ hours. Shifts are as follows:
Daytime
Shift 1 10:00am-1:00pm
Shift 2 12:30pm-3:30pm
Shift 3 3:00pm-5:30pm
Evening
Shift 4 5:30pm-8:30pm
Shift 5 8:00pm-11:30pm
