Brenda here!   And you thought there were a lot of egg hunts last week – ha!  The Easter Bunny’s busy this week:

Right now, through Easter Sunday, April 20th:  Bass Pro Shops is hosting all sorts of activities – including egg hunts, Easter crafts and photos with the big bunny himself.  Click here for more.


Thursday,  April 17th:


North of town, in Concord, at Webb Field, (165 Academy Ave NW, Concord), for 3-5 year olds only – starting at 11am

It’s  another Egg Hunt at Hartsell Park (65 Sunderland Road), in Concord, this one for ages 3-5, and it kicks off at 2pm!

Across Concord, a third Egg Hunt at Caldwell Park (362 Georgia St, SW, Concord, NC) for kids ages 2-10 starting at 4pm!

Across the county, it’s the big and much-anticipated Flashlight Easter Egg Hunt in Belmont at Davis Park and Ball Fields, (204 Park Drive)
Also ‘eggspect’ an appearance from the  Easter bunny!  All the fun kicks off at 6:30pm!


Friday, April 18th:


All day on Friday, there are Good Friday festivities at Romare Bearden Park!  Here’s the schedule:

  • 11am: Cara Zara Hula Hoop Show
  • 12pm: Ken and Kyle Juggling Show
  • 1pm: Amy Arpan Illusion Show
  • 1:30pm: Egg Hunt


Then, the Tom Sykes Recreation Center is hosting an Easter Bunny Brunch for kids from 2 yrs to 6 yrs from 10-11am.  Kids can also do crafts, hang with the  Easter Bunny,  and besides enjoying brunch, there’s an egg hunt afterwards! Pre-registration is required, click here for more!

Saturday, April 19th:


The Indian Trail Cultural Arts Center is hosting the ‘Hop To It Easter Egg Hunt’ from 10-11:30am!  Have photos taken with Easter bunny, free Easter crafts, and various egg hunts for age groups.

Albemarle Road Recreation Center  is hosting an Easter Egg Hunt for kids 5 and over starting at 9 a.m.
The Hickory Grove Recreation Center is hosting an Easter egg hunt in the gym for kids from 6 yrs to 9 yrs from 2-2:30pm

Then, it’s ‘Easter Egg Mania at the Elon Recreation Center for kids from 2-10 years from 9-1pm!  Pr-registration is required and there’s a $1 course fee.  Click here for more.

Up at historic Rural Hill (4431 Neck Rd, Huntersville, NC), enjoy an egg hunt and visit with the Easter bunny from 11am for children 4 and under; 11:30 for children 5 and older.  The event is free, but registration is required…click here for more.


In the meantime, back in downtown Concord, (65 Union Street South), it’s the Bunny Run 5k.  It’s a free festival with inflatables, games, and interactive DJ from 10am – 1pm.  Click here for registration info for the 5k.
Over at the Kings Mountain Children’s Playground, (211 Cleveland Ave, Kings Mountain), there’s an egg hunt, with visits with the Easter bunny, games, prizes…and more!  It all kicks off at 10am!  Find the gold egg!!!
